Dharma name: 南龍 慈雲軒 Nanryū Ji'un-ken
John Tarrant (1949-) master of the Pacific Zen Institute (PZI). An iconoclastic Zen teacher, the first Dharma heir of Robert Aitken. A poet with a doctorate in Psychology. Widely known for his many teisho (Dharma talks, mostly on koans) published at many different sites on the world wide web, John Tarrant is arguably the most important koan teacher in the West today.
