Daitō Kokushi (Shūhō Myōchō, 1283–1337) as a Beggar

The inscription above says:

All the great sages of the past
have ensured a bright future [for Zen]
Don't be fooled by the appearance of this old man.
He can take it without using hands,
if you can bring it without using your feet.
