법정 / 法頂 Beop Jeong (1932-2010), aka Bop Jong

Bop Jong (or Beopjeong, Korean: 법정스님 / 法頂, born Park Jae Cheol) is a Buddhist monk as well as a writer of South Korea.
Bop Jong Sunim is widely known for the Musoyu (Non-Possession, 무소유 / 無所有) spirit and he propagated his philosophy through many of his publications, which have been loved by many Koreans.
In 1955, when he was a junior in a university, he decided to become a Buddhist monk as a follower of Hyobong, a Korean Jogye Seon master.
On December 14, 1997, Cardinal Kim Su-hwan from Korean Catholic Church attended and congratulated on the opening of Gilsangsa located in Seongbuk-dong, Seoul. In return, he visited Myeong-dong Cathedral on February 24, 1998 and held a special speech, which showed the harmony between religions.
In 2010, he passed away from a chronic illness, lung cancer, in Gilsangsa (길상사) located in Seoul.

(People Standing Everywhere), 1978; Yeonghon ui moeum (From
the Soul), 1983; Sanbang handam (Leisurely Chats in the
Mountains), 1983; and Mulsori baramsori (The Sound of Water, The
Sound of Wind), 1986.
