Haiku ~ Hal Sirowitz (1949-)
hovering
around
like a bee looking for honey -
her petals closed
a
photograph of her
bed - the next best thing
to being there.
She
gave instructions
on how I could satisfy her -
back seat driver.
She
kept her legs crossed—
the top of the mountain
covered in clouds.
Rubbing her nipples -
Alladin's lamp -
the genie gone for the
day.
Lightning
bug -
a flashlight
with the batteries included
On
Monday, two bugs -
on Friday, ten more -
bad family planning
Lightning
-
a child turning
the light on and off
Snow
falling -
nature repeating
itself
The
wind playing
with my hair -
hoping she'd join in
The
path
of the storm not hampered
by speed limits.
